During my Adelaide trip, my family and I went to a chocolate factory - Haigh's Chocolate.
The story behind Haigh's Chocolate began in 1915, where the first generations of Haigh's family had a desire to own a candy shop. Hence, with his savings, he bought a corner shop at Rundle Mall. Every night, he would go upstairs and made candy with his own two hands and sell them in the shop every day. However, he never made any chocolate during his time. After he had passed away, his son, the 2nd generation of Haigh, took up what his father had left off. Again, he did not make any chocolate but sold chocolates of another brand. It was until the 3rd generation of Haigh's family had this sudden revelation and he asked himself, "Why don't I make chocolate on my own?" This young man was very VERY fortunate because he had the chance of a lifetime. "What is this chance?", you may asked. This lucky fella was able to learn how to make chocolate from the Lindt's family! In case you don't know, Lindt's Chocolate is a very well-known chocolate from Switzerland! And the rest, as they say, is history. It was an amazing experience to have a look around the chocolate factory, especially since the aroma is to die for! My goodness.... I can still remember the sensational aroma of chocolate... HHHMMmmmm.... However, sad to say, they do not import these chocolate at all. Haigh's Chocolate is only sold in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. Why? Because they are all hand-made! Seriously. ALL HAND-MADE! So, all you chocolate lovers out there, if you ever go down to Adelaide, be sure to stop by the former "candy shop".

Food Heaven in Aussie Land
Guess who's back? *grins*
A week's vacation in Adelaide, Australia was AWESOME! I had a blast!!! And ate a whole lot of good food... That's why I wrote "KimberlyMay is fat, stinky and exhausted" in my Facebook status. Anyway, I seriously do not know how to begin my vacation. So, I will let the pictures do all the talking for now. I am suffering from PVC (post-vacation syndrome) = EXHAUSTION. And they say vacation is a time of relaxation.... yeah, right.... *rolling my eyes* All I wanna do is to sit back, relax and lie in bed all day long. However, that fantasy will never come true because my mum will make sure that there is something for me to do. Sigh... where was I again? Oh right... Pictures! The main theme for this first compilation of photos is FOOD. Will upload more photos soon. Over 500 pictures taken... man... sometimes I wish the internet speed will miraculously increase a hundredfold! Then I wouldn't have to wait for it to load.....

I am wayyyyy excited and hyped about it!!! So, I won't write long. Actually it is also because I am also distracted by something else... Hehehe... Bye!

Labour Day Outing
Since it is a public holiday, normally it will be the day for everyone to sleep a little bit more, to pay off the sleeping debt that we have accumulate throughout the semester. XP Not us, though! We, the campus students, woke up at 5 in the morning, to prepare breakfast for our little outing today to Taman Bukit Jalil. We left the house at 6:30AM and reached there at about 7:00AM. It was a beautiful morning. The park was really huge and it was very serene and pretty. The fresh smell of Mother Nature in the morning was really gives you a soothing and relaxing feeling. So we came to a 'pondok', and had our morning revival with the brothers and sisters from IMU. Haven't seen Ho Ching and Krystal for quite a while! Was really happy that I get to pat on Ho Ching's head again :P We sang a hymn before we have our breakfast. It's nice to get out of the house and do something else for a change. I really enjoyed myself today :P Here are some pictures for the day. Thank you brother GY for the pictures!

Un-Wasted Holidays
Sigh... I'm going back to SJ in less than two days. Don't get me wrong, I am actually looking forward to go back. However, there is that nagging feeling of not wanting to leave home. I don't know how to describe it in words but I'll try... it is like a tinge of guilt, with a dash of reluctance and a whole lot of love. Feeling rather emo right now... >_<
Though this must be the longest holiday that I ever spend at home, it wasn't as wasteful as I thought it would be. Hmm... where should I start? Well, when I first got home, I remembered I was dreading about my results that were coming out in a few weeks. Before my results were known, I finally received my father's approval for me to obtain my salvation as he is a atheist. That kind of happiness was really indescribable after one is immersed out of the water. I can still recall that I couldn't stop smiling. :) Lucky for me, I passed my examinations as well!!
Then the two months industrial training began. I met some very pleasant people over there. I must say, working is not my cup of tea but that is unavoidable regardless how much I try to stall it. I just hope that in the future, I am able to like what I do. I don't know what the future holds for me, but I do know that because it is such a mystery, it will be something really amazing and special :P
Besides working, I met up with several of my friends - my two best friends, one gospel-friend-turn-into-believer (so happy for her), a few of my college and high school friends. Had my first taste of going out at night, not really a big fan of it though. I would get pretty worn out after a long night. Right now, my eyes are filled with dark circles below it. SOoooo UNATTRACTIVE!!!
Another thing worth mentioning is that I bought my very first guitar!!!! A guitar to call my own! I absolutely love it! It's such a shame that I can't bring it down to SJ with me this time. Sigh... I'm gonna miss it! Read three novels, this is one of my favourite pastimes which I rarely have the chance to do it. Glad I had the holidays to do it. Anyway, before I even realize it, the attachment work has finally come to an end. Kinda miss the people there but not the work. :P
As soon as the completion of my training, I went straight into house cleaning mode in the preparation for CNY. My room has never been so clean before! Ate plenty during CNY, grow so fat now.... -_-" Visited my grandma. Don't let her fragile appearance deceive you, her mental alertness is still sharp as ever!
My relatives - you can see the resemblance :D
OH! Didn't experience a blackout for a very very long time. One night, the whole house just went dark. Moreover, it happened at night. Everything was pitch black, I can't even see my own my hand! After wandering aimlessly, blinded by the darkness, I finally found my handphone to give me some light to move about. The whole neighborhood was extremely dark but it's kinda pretty, don't you think?

Now CNY is almost over, it is time to get ready to go back to studying life. Hmm... my clothes are still in a pile waiting for me to iron them... so I better get going... Until next time. Toodles!

The Start of Something That is Not New
Ahh... finals is over for the semester but then again, it is not literally over for me. Why? I'm going to tell you why. Though I try to be optimistic on every situation that occurs to me, I do tend to be very realistic about it. So here goes.. Out of the four papers, I think one or two papers are total goners. From the moment I step out of the examination hall, I said to myself, "I'm dead meat." Yes, we heard a thousand people exclaiming to the whole wide world that "It's over, I'm dead!" or "I'm sure gonna fail this!" but do they actually fail the paper - no they don't.
Anyway, after having a conversation on this with my mum, she said to me, "during your two weeks break, you better hit the books!" I guess I deserved it. I let the environment, the people & personal issues affect my concentration. Up till now, I still do not feel the importance of working my ass off to get a basic undergraduate degree. I do not feel it but I know it's crucial for the time to come. That's when my momma said, "Grow Up!" Yeah.. I know, I know. I'm thinking and acting like a little girl that everything is gonna be all right and everything is going to be okay. And the stupid thing is, I thought I had grown up. Apparently not by the looks of it.
It is the beginning of the mid-term holidays, I am slacking A LOT and I am studying a NANO-bit. It is a brand new day, I need to grasp every opportunity to make things better, not just for myself but also for someone Great. Adios~ Will update more soon *winks*

Presents
Midterm break - only one week of lecture-&-lecturer-free, but not assignment-free, SIGH! At least I get to return to my humble home in Penang, as I missed my Mum's cooking, the tender and warmth feeling of being home, sleeping on my own bed, having quality time with my parents and of course, I do miss a bit of nagging from home. :) Oh! I received two 'presents' during the break. Do you guys still remember the past Chinese New Year? When you all receive all your angpows? Well.. as you all might not know, I did not open my angpows during CNY as semester one starts a bit early. Sooo......
*MONEY MONEY MONEY...... LOL!!!!!*
Where does the all the money go? Being an obedient *ahem* girl, most of the cash went to the bank *sniff... all gone*. Undoubtedly, I left some to spend! Hehhehe.... Now what can I buy? *thinking hard*
The second present I got is my hair! Yes you have read correctly, my H.A.I.R.! I finally got rid of my long hair, and the hairdresser gave it back to me... (don't ask my why) Maybe he wants me to regret for making this decision?
I don't know about that, but I can tell you that when my friends saw me with my new haircut, I get all sorts of responses. One of the most extreme feedback I received was.. *SCREAM* Yes! When the sisters saw me, they all screamed! And at very high pitch I must say. On the other hand, some say it looks cute, some prefer me with long hair, and some are just simply amused. Hehehe... I like it! Till next time, see ya!
